Counselling Services - How I Can Help
I work in a supportive and collaborative way, offering a confidential space where you can talk openly about what is happening in your life.
Rather than me telling you what to do, my role is to help you make sense of how you are feeling and understand the experiences, patterns and relationships that may be affecting you. Through regular sessions, counselling can help you develop greater self-awareness, confidence and a clearer understanding of what you need moving forward.
Issues I work with include:
• Anxiety and overthinking
• Depression and low mood
• Emotional neglect
• Trauma and PTSD
• Relationship difficulties
• ADHD and Autism
• Racial and cultural identity
• Low confidence and self-esteem
• Stress and burnout
• Work-related issues
• Men’s issues and women’s issues
• Feeling lost, stuck or frustrated
Couple Counselling
It can be difficult communicating feelings and understanding each other within a relationship.
Some couples come to counselling wanting to strengthen their relationship, whilst others may be trying to decide what comes next. You may find yourselves having the same arguments, struggling to communicate, feeling emotionally distant or finding it difficult to express how you really feel.
As a couples counsellor, I provide a space where both partners have the opportunity to talk openly about how they view the relationship and the challenges they are experiencing. I will not take sides. Instead, I will help you explore the patterns, dynamics and expectations within your relationship so that you can gain a greater understanding of yourselves and each other.
Couples counselling can feel challenging at times, but it can also be a valuable opportunity to improve communication, rebuild connection and gain clarity about what you both want from the relationship.
Issues I have worked with include:
• Communication difficulties
• Conflict and recurring arguments
• Affairs and betrayal
• Trust issues
• Sex and intimacy difficulties
• Addiction and recovery
• Parenting challenges
• Caring responsibilities
• Commitment concerns
• Abuse and unhealthy relationship patterns
• Life transitions and change
• Cultural differences within relationships
Online Counselling
Online counselling can be a good option if travelling to appointments feels difficult or if you need more flexibility around work, family life or other commitments.
Many clients are surprised by how natural online therapy feels. Once the conversation begins, the focus quickly shifts away from the screen and onto what has brought them to counselling.
Sessions take place via Zoom and offer the same opportunity to pause, reflect and talk openly about what is happening in your life.
For some people, online counselling is a stepping stone before moving to face-to-face sessions. For others, it becomes their preferred way of accessing support.
